At about 9:15 p.m., police said they were alerted to a Dodge Ram hitting a pole near Pingree and fleeing the scene. En route to the site, officers reportedly saw the pickup speeding north and began to follow it. The truck collided with a Pontiac Grand Prix. A woman and a man inside the Pontiac were killed. Two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old inside the truck were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their injuries were not expected to be life-threatening, police said. The 16-year-old driver was charged with second degree murder.
