Pedestrian Norman L. Carlock Jr. was struck by a marked patrol car driven by officer Zachary Jenkins on November 5 and died from his injuries on November 25. According to police reports, a call came in at around 9:40 p.m. about a stalled other in the westbound lanes of US 50. Jenkins responded to the scene and hit Carlock. According to Jenkins, he never saw Carlock. Police said Jenkins returned to the site and called for an ambulance.
