Deadly force

Police shot and killed Rashawn Johnson and wounded another person on the West Side. At around 9:20 p.m., police said officers stopped a Lincoln with four people inside that had been reported stolen during a carjacking. One of the occupants got out and ran, while the driver allegedly reversed, hit a police other and then an officer. An officer shot one of the people inside. A second person reportedly attempted to flee and pointed a weapon at police, so another officer shot and struck him.
