Officers responding to a report of a domestic disturbance at the duplex where Mullins lived with his wife had arrived to hear a woman crying and a man yelling inside the residence. After the officers knocked on the door, Mullins appeared with a shotgun in his hand, and one of the officers grabbed it and tried to wrestle it away.During the struggle, the resident appeared to be trying to point the weapon at the second officer, who responded by firing multiple shots
