At Rest

Suicide
Wiley had been sought by authorities on child molestation charges, according to police. A Bloomingdale officer driving an unmarked other spotted Wiley in a black Chevrolet pickup in Port Wentworth. The officer summoned marked Port Wentworth police units; the truck pulled over on Ga. 21 at the busy Interstate 95 interchange. As officers approached, Wiley put a gun to his head, and for about two minutes, the police tried to persuade Wiley to put the gun down. He shot and killed himself.
This record exists so that Richard A. Wiley, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
