Amron called 911 after taking a dose of cocaine that made him feel ill. Deputies and paramedics responded. Amron was handcuffed and put into an ambulance. He struggled free and got out of the ambulance. Four deputies subdued Amron. Paramedics injected him with Versed. According to Courthouse News Service, Sergeant Mary Haver kicked Amron. Deputy Kevin Vailes stepped on Amron's face for up to five minutes. His vital signs were not checked for 15 minutes.
