At Rest

Less-than-lethal force
Patrick Johnson called police to report a "person with a weapon." Johnson was mentally disabled and had the mental capacity of a 5-year-old. When police arrived Johnson was reportedly agitated and pacing back and forth from the house into the front yard. Police say he was breaking things and grabbing sticks or tree branches, which he tried to set on fire using the kitchen stove. Police said a Taser had to be used to subdue him. Two Taser shocks were used on Johnson, and after the second one he dropped to the ground. He died at Nazareth Hospital hours later.
This record exists so that Patrick Johnson, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
