Deputy John Chandler shot a suspect in a domestic kidnapping and assault once after spotting the man aiming a pistol at Detective Jackie Mills. Mills also shot the man after the suspect reportedly went back at his gun and aimed it at the detective after being wounded by Chandler's shot. The suspect, wounded in the arm and groin, died from his wounds.
