A Dougherty County Police officer tried pulling Thomas over because he appeared impaired. Thomas didn't stop, so the officers chased him at a speed of about 30 miles per hour for a few miles until he crashed. He tried to run from the other and in the attempt to take him into custody he was shocked with a taser, killing him.
