McMichael drove away from a traffic stop. He swerved to avoid spike strips at a speed of about 100 mph. The other flipped several times, killing him. He was not wearing a seat belt. Troopers found a three-month-old baby hanging upside down in the other. They cut her out of her car seat and waited for paramedics. She survived.
