Police responding to a shots-fired call observed an SUV leaving the scene in a hurry. Its driver, Santiago, bailed out of the other after a short car chase and continued on foot. An undescribed confrontation and struggle took place, leaving Santiago shot to death. Reporting left it unclear whether he'd been armed.
