A 1 a.m. fight in a bar parking lot developed into one of the suspects getting in his other, trying to run over a police officer, and speeding off down the interstate. A police chase at speeds up to 100 MPH ended when the suspect lost control of his car, hitting an embankment. Passenger Spencer was thrown out of the car and killed. The suspect faced a possible first-degree murder charge.
