A trooper attempted to stop Ryan Bogdonovich's 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis for traffic violations on U.S. 10 in Osseo. Bogdonovich sped away. Deputy John Gunderson parked his squad car on U.S. 10 at Humbird Street and placed stop sticks on the highway. Bogdonovich crossed the centerline and struck the squad car head-on, killing Bogdonovich.
