White walked out into the middle of a street. Officer Rodney Samuel handcuffed him. Officer Gershwin Howard responded. They pulled White out of the street. Paramedics, who believed that White was suffering both from drug use and heat exhaustion, took him to Parkland Memorial Hospital.
