Kendell T. Lewis died after crashing his Ford Focus during a high speed police chase. At around 3:15 p.m., Lewis allegedly fled a traffic stop and hit a police car trying to get away. According to police, Lewis was driving over 100 mph when he lost control of the car, hit a light pole. and flipped. Police said live electrical wires fell onto the roadway after Lewis hit the pole.
