According to police, an officer tried to stop Von Ralph Verrett, for speeding in a 2010 Toyota Camry on Mack Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Verrett turned onto Beaconsfield, accelerated and crashed into a brick wall. Verrett was pronounced dead at a hospital.
