Police were told that a man standing there was "exhibiting erratic behavior and swinging a large piece of iron railing," police said. Upon the deputy's arrival at the scene, Dustin R. Williamson reportedly struck the side of the patrol car and window glass with a piece of metal believed to be the base of a other lift used to change a flat tire. He was shot and killed.
