Purportedly Chambers had visited a city officer earlier in the day and complained about the electronic chip in his head. Police were dispatched to his mother's house to assist Department of Mental Health workers to bring him in. Chambers became combative, had a medical emergency, and died. His niece asserted that he'd been repeatedly struck on the head with a nightstick and, in her words, beaten to death.
