Suicide

Mark A. Peter reportedly committed suicide in his bathtub during a four-hour standoff with police who'd responded to a report of a suicidal person. Police said a negotiator spoke with Peter briefly after officers arrived, but that officers weren't able to establish meaningful communication with him. At about 8 a.m., sent a robot with a camera inside and found Peter in his tub dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
