Jasmein Jones was killed when a Chevrolet Impala fleeing police at a high rate of speed struck the car Jones was in. Police contended that the patrol car had broken off the pursuit before the crash. Jones was the niece of Lashanna Jones Snipes, who was killed by a driver fleeing police in late 2009.
