Two suspected shoplifters who were fleeing from police about 10:30 p.m. struck the car Shawn Williams Jr. was in, police said. He was riding in a Ford Focus driven by a 17-year-old friend. Williams died in the crash. The Focus was one of three vehicles, including a police cruiser, that were hit.
