Three California Highway Patrol officers chased Osorio at high speed in the early morning hours. Osorio crashed and rolled his other but emerged alive. Officers report that the victim made threatening gestures and lunged at them, causing them to fire 33 shots. Eighteen of them hit. Osorio was unarmed.
