McKinnon Stenkamp's car careened off the road in the 2100 block of Martin Luther King Junior Way South. Kent police started pursuing the car on southbound Interstate 5 because they suspected the driver was intoxicated. King County sheriff's deputies later joined the chase. Stenkamp died when the car crashed.
