Brandon Wesley Eckel reportedly shot himself with a rifle after Ceres officers Brian Albonetti, Dirk Nieuwenhuis and an undisclosed CHP officer fired their guns at him following a police chase that started in Ceres and ended near Livingston. Coroner determined the fatal shot was self-inflicted.
