Grand County Sheriff's Lt. John Stein and Chief Deputy District Attorney Heather Stein shot Joshua Stevens after he allegedly forced his way into the couple's home and fought with them. When Stevens left the home the Steins again struggled with him and shot and killed him when Stevens allegedly tried to gain possession of John Stein's gun during the struggle.
