Police said Jose Garcia fled from Illinois State Police after multiple traffic violations earlier and fled again when a Missouri Highway Patrol trooper spotted him southeast of St. Clair on Interstate 44. Garcia exited the interstate. Officers reportedly blocked Garcia's other in a yard, Garcia pointed his gun at officers and allegedly drove his car in their general direction. Officers shot and killed Garcia.
