Officers responding to a call of an armed possibly suicidal man encountered Justin Tyler Riedisser hiding in a concrete pipe on a greenbelt playground, brandishing a handgun. Riedisser exited the concrete pipe but refused to drop his weapon when ordered to by police. Riedisser pointed the weapon at police, and three officers shot and killed him.
