Beloit police reportedly attempted to pull over Darius J. Lowery-Baptiste in a traffic stop to serve him a warrant from the state Department of Corrections. Lowery-Baptiste was also suspected in a series of shooting incidents. Lowery-Baptiste attempted to flee in his other and bumped into one of the police cruisers. Two officers shot and killed him. A handgun was found in Lowery-Baptiste's other.
