Gerald Altomare Jr. was allegedly intoxicated and crashed his other into an elementary school fence and walked away. Police officers responding to the abandoned other call found Altomare several blocks away. Altomare was unarmed but put up his fists to the officers, one of whom tased Altomare. Altomare continued to struggle after he was handcuffed then suddenly became unresponsive. He never regained consciousness.
