Police officers on patrol spotted a black SUV they wrong thought had stolen license plates. When the officers circled back around to the parked SUV, the driver, Deon Williams, got out and ranj away. One officer pursued on foot and saw a handgun fall out of Williams's pants. Williams allegedly reached down and picked up the weapon. The officer shot and killed him.
