Detectives reportedly learned from a confidential informant that Andrew Thomas, 23, was planning on robbing an insurance office. Police evacuated the office and waited for Thomas to show up. When the armed and masked Thomas showed up, he refused to put his weapon down when ordered and the detectives opened fire and killed him.
