Police responding to a report of man brandishing a handgun in a car encountered Korey Marcel Germaine in a Mercedes Benz. Germaine pointed the weapon at police during the pursuit. After hitting a police car and a civilian car, Germaine crashed and fled on foot. Germaine allegedly pointed the handgun at pursuing officers, who shot and killed him.
