Deadly force
A neighbor called 911 when she saw a man breaking into the house next door. When the officers arrived they witnessed Jaime Benavidez in possession of a handgun. They ordered him to put it down. Benavidez fled. Officers cornered him in front of a nearby home. They ordered him to drop his weapon, he raised it, and the officers all shot and killed him. It was later determined that it was his sisters house, and he was not breaking into the home.
