Deadly force

Denis Reynoso, an Iraq war veteran, was shot and killed by a local officer in his own apartment, in front of his five-year-old son. Police had responded to a report of Reynoso acting erratically and alleged that Reynoso grabbed one of the officer's pistols and fired two shots. Subsequent investigation found grave problems with the police account, and called into question the DA's exoneration of these officers and many others.
