Suicide

Frank Thompson allegedly attacked his neighbor with a hammer when she knocked on his door to ask for some sugar. Police were called and exchanged fire with Thompson, hitting him in the abdomen. A tactical team found him dead in his apartment later, apparently having shot and killed himself with a handgun in the chest.
