Around 4 a.m., a female complainant said that Jefferson was behaving irrationally at her apartment. Officers responded. Jefferson refused to calm down. Officers place Jefferson in handcuffs and leg restraints. Jefferson lost consciousness, then died at Ben Taub General Hospital.
