Police responded to home owner seeking to remove Ramos from home.Ramos barricaded himself in a closet with a kitchen knife and a machete. SWAT team negotiated for an hour but eventually Ramos advanced toward police with his machete and kitchen knife. Police shot Ramos with bean bag rounds which did not stop his advance. Police opened fire with lethal rounds, killing Ramos. Ramos had previously threatened to commit suicide.
