Deadly force

Even after a grand jury hearing, details are unclear. Brown had either battered a police officer, or was innocently walking down the street with a friend. Witnesses say he was unarmed, with his hands in the air, and Officer Darren Wilson shot him more than eight times. Other testimony said his hands were not up, and he was rushing the police. His death touched off months of protests around the United States.
