Suicide

At around 9 a.m., troopers went to the home of Tom Alan Brown, who was under investigation for possessing child pornography, to gather additional information. The troopers said they saw Brown sitting in a parked car inside a nearby pole barn with the engine running and a tube extending from the exhaust pipe into the other. According to police, the troopers had just gotten out of their other when they heard a gunshot from the pole barn. They found Brown with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, police said. Brown died at the scene.
