Officer Matthew Bencik and his partner Devin Ashmore stopped to investigate a suspicious other. The Chevrolet Avalanche truck was occupied by two men and a woman, had heavy front-end damage and was smoking from under its hood. Police allege that the driver, 37 year-old Omarr Jackson, fled when asked to step out of the other and fired a handgun at the officers.
