Deadly force
Todd Hodge was under a house. Deputy Mark Wallace and his dog, Sultan responded. Sultan was unleashed to the crawl space. Hodge shot Sultan in the neck. Sultan retreated, and was taken to the veterinarian where he died of his injuries. A lengthy standoff began. Later in the evening S.W.A.T. fired tear gas and flash grenades forcing Hodge from under the house. When the subject appeared he was carrying a handgun, at which time officers shot and killed him
