Witnesses reported that an officer shot Salome Rodriguez in what was most likely an alcohol-fueled incident at a bar. Officer Henry Solis was arrested by Mexican police in Juarez and deported to the United States about 2 1/2 months after Rodriguez's killing. On March 11, 2020, the officer involved was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
