According to police, trooper Kevin Primel tried to stop Brian Essian's Kawasaki motorcycle around 10:35 a.m. for going 71 mph in a 55 mph zone. Essian allegedly accelerated, clipped a pickup truck and crashed. Essian died from his injured on May 27, 2015. According to reports, Essian was on probation for fleeing from Waterford officer Annette Miller in May 2012.
