Motorcyclist Roger Allen Kirby and his passenger Lori Michelle Walker were pursued by local police for reckless driving, refused to cooperate with a traffic stop, and drove off at 100 MPH or better. He lost control on a curve. The crash left a debris field 150 feet long. Walker was pronounced dead at the scene; Kirby died of his injuries weeks later.
