Godinez was a suspect in a burglary when officers apprehended him, police said. A medical examiner said Godinez died of cocaine and alcohol poisoning and that the physical stress of police restraint was a "significant contributing factor" to his death. Police have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding Godinez's arrest.
