A Dodge Ram led law enforcement on a high-speed chase through multiple towns in Brazoria County. The Dodge came to a stop. Charles and another man stepped out and ran toward Hidalgo International Bridge. Hidalgo Officer R. Gonzales arrested Charles. Officer Enrique Amaya drove Charles to La Joya for booking. Charles became ill on the way. Officer Amaya took Charles to Mission Regional Medical Center, where he died of complications related to asthma.
