Christopher Anthony Kemp, 27, sped away from police on Route 40 in Wharton to avoid arrest for driving with a suspended license, police said. Kemp is accused of driving in the wrong lane in excess of 115 mph, causing several vehicles to collide and narrowly avoiding a crash with a state police other. The chase ended when he crashed head-on into a car at Rankin Road. That driver, Erik James Yannitelli, 22, of Farmington, was killed.
