Maria had a medical emergency at a Union Grocery. EMS responded. Officer Walker, who had not been formally dispatched, happened to learn what was going on. He handcuffed Maria to a gurney as Maria assaulted EMS personnel. Officer Walker accompanied EMS to Bayshore Hospital and uncuffed Maria for treatment. He died of an aortic dissection.
