Deadly force

Deputies attempted to stop Ludd while he was driving because his car's registration was expired, according to authorities. Ludd stopped to allow a passenger to exit the car and then sped away, police said. He eventually stopped and exited his car before pointing his gun at officers, officials said. Deputies Benjamin Green, David McEntire and Troy Mohler shot and killed him.
