Deadly force

Johnson was holding a gun to his head while standing in a parking lot near a hospital, according to authorities. During negotiations with police, Johnson reportedly fired his gun at the ground twice. Tactical officers fatally shot Johnson, although it is unclear what exactly prompted the shooting. The state medical examiner's office ruled that Johnson died by suicide, although he had no self-inflicted wounds.
